About 9:30, Austin fire crews were called to a fire at 4706 Magin Meadow Road. As they approached, neighbors flagged them down and informed them of another fire, just around the corner on Thannis Road.

When fire crews arrived at the fire on Thannis Road, crews found fire in the attic of a home which is still under construction. About half of the house’s roof was destroyed.

Damage to the house on Thannis Road is estimated to be about $50,000.

The fire on Magin Meadow Road was contained to one bedroom of the vacant house. Damage to that house is estimated at about $6,000.

Both fires remain under investigation.

No injuries were reported.
