According to Colin Pope, editor of theAustin Business Journal, the number one job to have in 2013 is software developer, and that’s nationwide—not just in tech savvy Austin.
Software developers are in high demand. It’s seen a seven percent growth in available jobs and come with an average base salary around $90,000 per year, not including perks.
The second best job goes to the accountant and auditors.
