Dell's stock rose by 13 percent Monday after a report that managers of the struggling computer maker are in talks to take the company private.
According to Bloomberg News, Dell has discussed a potential sale with at least two firms that specialize in buying companies whose stocks have fallen.
Dell Inc., which is based in Round Rock, declined to comment.
Dell's drop in earnings led to a 30 percent drop in its stock price during the past 12 months.
