One man is dead from a stabbing in Leander Wednesday morning.

Deputies say they were responding to a family disturbance call at 9:44 a.m. at 22900 Big Sandy Drive when they found 41-year-old James Prestage with a stab wound. The suspect, 46-year-old Reggie Horton, was still on scene when police arrived.

Prestage was taken by STAR Flight to an area hospital, but died shortly before noon.

Horton was taken into custody, but has not yet been charged.

The two men were cousins and lived together.
