Class is now in session at the new College of Liberal Arts building on the UT campus.
The university spent nearly $90 million on the 200,000 sq-ft center, which about 10,000 students will pass through each day.
The new building will serve as the first central liberal arts facility on campus since the 1930s. This one, however, has state-of-the-art features and technology.
"This is where people are trained to enter the work force and feed the economy, and you want to create an environment that's conducive to learning and being successful," Grant Barger with the University of Texas said.
The university’s next big addition will be a medical school.
