Testimony wrapped up in the massive school finance trial Wednesday, meaning District Judge John Dietz could make a landmark ruling next week.

Closing arguments are set for Monday and Judge Dietz has said that he’ll make a quick ruling.

More than 600 school districts are involved in the class action lawsuit against the state. Plaintiffs claim Texas does not adequately fund its public school system.

Attorneys for the state say there's plenty of money, and districts need to make better use of funds.

Whatever the decision, it will likely be appealed to the Texas Supreme Court.
