Businesswoman Debbie Woods hardly has any downtime, so when she needed some work done on her face, timeliness was important.

Previous medical procedures affected Debbie's skin.

“This area of my face looked horrendous,” she said. “It looked like I was a smoker, and I never smoked.”

So Woods decided to give ‘Fractora’ a try. It’s the latest and greatest in smoothing the skin. It doesn't take the place of plastic surgery, but it rivals the results.

“So this, to me, was going to work better than surgery for me at this point in my life,” Woods said.

Fractora is several different technologies rolled into one--sounds waves, not a knife, helps smooth the skin.

What it can address is fine and deep wrinkles, pigment irregularities, blood vessels, redness, acne scars,” plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden said.

Patients can choose one big treatment or several smaller ones over several weeks.

“It’s like applying 60 tiny acupuncture needles in a tiny applicator to the skin,” Dr. Walden said. “Over a period of eight weeks you can look eight years younger.”

Dr. Walden says results from the Fractora procedure can last several years. Patients may need future touch-ups as well.
