Investigators are trying to learn more after a former Navy SEAL sniper and author who was fatally shot by a former Marine this weekend.

Chris Kyle was killed at the Rough Creek Lodge shooting range near Glen Rose, which is about 50 miles southwest of Fort Worth.

Authorities say 25-year-old Eddie Ray Routh shot and killed Kyle and a second victim Saturday afternoon.

Kyle released his auto-biography called American Sniper last year. The book documented Kyle's more than 150 sniper kills in Iraq. Kyle served four combat tours in Iraq and received two Silver Stars, among other commendations.

Routh is charged with killing Kyle and another man, 35-year-old Chad Littlefield. Police say Routh shot the two men and then drove away. He was found later the same day at his home in Lancaster.

Investigators say Routh is a former Marine marksman who suffered from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
