For those who can’t imagine life without one of their senses, The Austin Blind Cafe can help give perspective to different ways of doing things.
Founded by musician Rosh Rocheleau, The Blind Cafe offers diners a dinner in the dark with live music. There is also a question and answer session where the diners can learn from the blind serving staff.
This is the fourth time The Blind Cafe has come to Austin.
"At the close of each event, we definitely get so many handshakes and just folks that are definitely impressed and touched and emotionally connected in a different way because of their experience," Richie Flores with the National Federation of the Blind of Texas said.
The Blind Cafe will be operational Wednesday and Thursday night from 7:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. at Vuka Co-op in South Austin.
