This weekend, weather fans will have their chance to meet YNN’s weather team and talk weather with the pros.
YNN Weather’s second annual Austin WeatherFest will kick off Saturday, Feb. 23 and will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum.
WeatherFest offers people the chance to learn about spring storms, including how form and what damage they can produce, among many other weather phenomena.
Representatives from the National Weather Service in New Braunfels will be on-hand to talk about how one can become an official weather observer through hail, lightning, rain and wind reports.
The OU Smart Radar Truck, a portable Doppler which travels across the country during severe weather season, will be at WeatherFest for weather fans to check out.
Admission to the event is free.
