Austin has no shortage of cool events happening around town all year, but could the Olympics be next?
Well, Colin Pope with the Austin Business Journal says to not get too excited. Hosting the Olympics takes millions of dollars in investments. It was discovered that New York and Chicago invested about $10 million each just to apply for the international event.
Pope said he expects to see many creative proposals, including a possible pitch to host the games in both San Antonio and Austin at the same time.
