Woman who died in motorcycle crash on SH 130 identified

A 21-year-old woman who died Wednesday in a motorcycle crash in the 2800 block of State Highway 130 has been identified by Austin police.

Sierrah Kahookele was riding a 2008 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle north on the frontage road shortly after 6 a.m. when she veered into a drainage ditch.

Austin-Travis County EMS transported Kahookele to the University Medical Center at Brackenridge with serious injuries.

She died at 4:40 p.m. at the hospital. The crash is the 18th fatal crash and the 19th traffic fatality of the year. At this time last year there were 15 traffic deaths.
