Justin Timberlake's highly publicized "secret show" brought out thousands of fans hoping to get a glimpse of the superstar.
Jordan Groves and her friend Meghan McCamant lined up early, waited for hours and ended up in the front of the packed club.
They said they were about three feet from the performing star, and have the cell phone pictures to prove it.
Timberlake tickets weren't the only hot commodity in the live music capital of the world.
A few block away another crowd was forming outside La Zona Rosa, where another superstar was set to perform.
"I am waiting to see Prince," Kimberley Taylor said. "It's small, it's intimate. It's one of the best places. It speaks of Austin. It is definitely an Austin landmark so this is probably the best place he could play."
Like Timberlake, the Prince show was hosted by corporate sponsors who gave South by Southwest attendees and the public a chance to win the highly coveted tickets.
Prince fan Ken Krusely said he went on a scavenger hunt to win two tickets. He invited his daughter as his plus-one.
For those who weren’t some of the lucky few to win the festival’s most coveted tickets, there were still plenty of options.
Dozens of other SXSW shows continued to fill the streets with music Saturday night.
