Family and friends observed Rachel Cooke's 20th birthday Friday night. She disappeared while jogging near her parents’ home in Georgetown last January.

Rachel's parents organized the event for friends and anyone who's helped search for their daughter.

"I just want to thank everybody for their support throughout the last four months. Today also marks the four months that [Rachel] was abducted. And it's hard,” said Robert Cooke, Rachel’s Father. “We're here to observe her birthday, not to observe her abduction."

Guests were asked to write messages to Rachel on yellow helium balloons that were released during the ceremony.

Her father said they're still looking for Rachel, though investigators say they have few leads in the case.
