Cooke disappeared a year ago Friday
Friday marks one year since the disappearance of Rachel Cooke.
Cooke, 19, went for a run near her parent's Georgetown home last Jan. 10 and never returned.
Her parents and the community have not given up hope and continue searching for clues in her disappearance.
On Friday at 5 p.m. they plan a ceremony and tree planting at Georgetown High School in Rachel's honor.
Family members and friends will also write messages to Rachel on yellow ribbons and hang them on the tree.
The family has also set up rachelcookesearch.org to chronicle the case.
