Every day is a difficult one for the family of a missing Georgetown woman, but Saturday was even more difficult because it was Rachel Cooke's 21st birthday.
Cooke disappeared while going for a run near her parents' home on Jan. 10, 2002.
Next Saturday, a fundraising event will be held to honor the accomplished cross-country runner.
The second annual Run/Walk for Rachel is planned for Old Settler's Park in Round Rock on May 17. Proceeds will go to the Rachel Alert Network, or RAN.
It supports the families of missing persons.
For more information about the 5K run, call (512) 773-9608 or log onto the RAN Web site.
