The Rachel Alert Network will sponsor a free women's self-defense class Monday night.

The network is named for Rachel Cooke, who was 19 when she disappeared from her Georgetown home nearly two years ago.

Southwestern University's Police chief will lead the MUST, Mentally Useful Safety Techniques, class.

It'll be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Crestview Methodist Church at 1300 Morrow in North Austin.

The class is targeted for women and girls 14 and older. If you plan to go wear comfortable clothes and bring your keys.
