Heavy rains fell around much of Central Texas Thursday night. Austin Energy reported hundreds of customers affected by power outages around Anderson Mill Road and Hudson Bend Road.

Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management spokeswoman Keli Cain said early Sunday that state medical examiner's office had confirmed the fatalities in the Woodward area. Cain said she didn't know the gender or age of the victims or details of their death.

Dozens of residents in Bell County had to be evacuated early Tuesday morning due to the rain. While much of the rain has stopped in Belton, it hasn't stopped the water level in Nolan Creek from rising. Rain that fell in Killeen and Harker Heights is making its way down.

Austin Energy officials say about 1,600 people are currently without power. Austin Energy crews still need to restore power to about 40 locations, including replacing six poles. The utility projects will take most of the afternoon to complete.
