Wet weather keeps Central Texans on alert
Central Texas experienced a downpour Tuesday night, and wet weather is expected to continue through Wednesday night.

News 8’s Meteorologist Burton Fitzsimmons said around 10 inches of rain hit the Interstate-35 corridor overnight.

About 10-12 inches hit New Braunfels, just south of San Marcos. About 4.22 inches of rain collected in Elgin, with at least 3.2 inches near Jollyville, and more than 2 inches in Austin.

A Flash Flood Watch remains posted through Wednesday night for much of Central Texas. Gillespie Co. and Llano Co. are not affected by this watch.
