Rainstorms pelt Austin

A quick round of storms prompted a Flash Flood Warning in Travis County Tuesday.
“Almost 2 inches of rain at our house near Downtown Austin in less than an hour,” Krystle Green reported via Twitter. “Wind gusts 6 mps and wind sped at 3 mph.”

News 8 weather watcher Pat Johnson reported 4” in his weather gauge in Frontier Valley.
Multiple roads around the city were closed due to flooding.
Light rain was also reported in Hays and Williamson counties.
