This year the Austin City Limits Festival will be a smoke-free event.

Due to the fire hazard conditions in the area, Austin Parks and Recreation will continue the burn ban in city parks.

C3 Productions, the company that puts on the festival, will be in charge of enforcement.

Signs are already on display at the park to remind people about the ban. Officials say action will only be taken if someone refuses to put out a cigarette.

The burn ban also applies to wood or charcoal burning pits, grills and smokers at any city park.
