With so many events flooding Austin, it can be difficult to outline your social calendar.

The Austin Chronicle's Fashion Editor Stephen Moser said the nightly showcases at the Driskill is a great way to see a variety of lavish looks. Also, closing out the week with the Austin Fashion Awards at the ACL Live venue Saturday is a must-have on your social calendar.

Blo, a new “blow-dry bar” on East Fifth Street, will be hosting a candy-land themed kickoff party on Friday night for their first-ever Austin Fashion Week. A fashion show, a DJ and “blo-tinis” will be on hand to make sure everyone starts Fashion Week in the right way.
