Day two of Grand Prix weekend has come and gone.

More than 80,000 people made their way to the Circuit of the Americas without incident to watch the qualifying rounds Saturday. A primary concern, traffic has yet to be a real issue for race fans looking to watch the race.

As for the race itself, as expected, Sebastian Vettel with Red Bull Racing landed the first pole position during Saturday’s qualifying round. Second-place went to Lewis Hamilton with the McClaren team and in third to Vettel’s teammate, Mark Webber.

Along the popular South Congress shopping district, foot traffic was noticeably down Saturday. Having brought in extra employees in anticipation of a rush, several businesses actually had to send workers home due to the slow business—noticeably slower than an average Saturday.

The big race kicks off Sunday at 1 p.m.
