Update -- Officers have identified 18-year-old Andujar De Leon-Diaz as the victim.

His death is Austin's 68th traffic fatality this year. Last year at this time, there were 48 traffic fatalities.

Earlier -- Police are investigating a crash Saturday night that killed one person in North Austin.

It happened just before 11:30 p.m. on North Lamar Boulevard just north of Highway 183. Officers say the driver traveling at a high rate of speed when the car left the roadway and hit a tree.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
