Austin Business Journal Editor Colin Pope said city demographer Ryan Robinson estimates there will be about 1.4 million residents in Williamson County, bypassing the population of Travis County by the year 2040. The ABJ is hosting its annual Williamson County growth summit on Nov. 29 to talk about both the challenges and opportunities presented by the county’s ever-changing face.
