Texas Sen. Wendy Davis is filed an open records request Monday for more information about the Cancer Research and Prevention Institute.

CPRIT is the subject of several investigations over the way it awarded research grants.

Davis is asking for a list of donations made to CPRIT. She's also asking for any communications between the foundation and CPRIT's oversight board.

Last month, Davis announced that she would be filing a bill to reform the state agency. She's calling for more transparency and wants to reevaluate how grants are awarded.
