Wednesday morning marks the time most young athletes spend their high school careers training for—National Signing Day.
High school students across the country are signing their national letter of intent.
Over at Bastrop High School, three players have signed on close to home.
Antwuan Davis is headed to the Capital City to play for the University of Texas Longhorns. Paul Whitmill is headed to Texas Christian University in the Big 12 to play for the Horned Frogs, and Aneas Henricks is headed to the University of Texas at San Antonio’s fresh football program.
Bastrop Head Coach Gerald Terry says he is proud of what his players have accomplished.
“All three of these guys are great young men, men of character, great in the classroom. They are good role models,” he said. “We are excited about this day for them and for their families. “
YNN’s Victor Diaz talked with the three recruits this morning, and even uncovered a slightly embarrassing team tradition. Check it out in the video above.
