Police are investigating a fatal hit and run in North Austin.

A man in his 40s was hit by two cars around 11:15 p.m. on Anderson Lane near the southbound frontage road of Interstate-35.

A witness pulled up and noticed the two vehicles leave the scene. Police say they are looking for a red truck and a dark four door sedan.

The southbound frontage road was closed for several hours.
