The Bastrop community threw its annual Halloween Fest Wednesday. The freaky fun event is a chance for families and friends to get together to enjoy games, candy and costume contests.

Whether you are heading to Sixth Street or taking some tots to trick-or-treat this Halloween, the Austin Police Department wants you to keep safety in mind. APD has enforced a ‘No-Refusal’ initiative for Halloween night, and will close down most of the entertainment district for party-goers. Officers also want the public to be aware of neighborhood safety for the younger crowd looking to trick-or-treat.
